If you are looking to pre-order the new Apple iPad Air 2 or the Apple iPad mini 3, you can now do so directly from the online Apple Store. The ridiculously thin Apple iPad Air 2 is available in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB versions. You have three color options, silver, gold and space gray. The Wi-Fi only version of the new 9.7 inch slate will cost you $499, $599 and $699, respectively. The units with 4G LTE connectivity are priced at $629 (16GB), $729 (64GB) and $829 (128GB). At 6.1mm, this is currently the thinnest tablet on the planet.
Perhaps a 7.9 inch screen is more to your liking. The Apple iPad mini 3 can be pre-ordered in the same three colors as the iPad Air 2. The Wi-Fi only version of the slate can be pre-ordered with 16GB ($399), 64GB ($499) and 128GB ($599). If you want 4G LTE connectivity, the prices are $529, $629 and $729, respectively.
Both new iPad models will start shipping next week. If you want to pre-order either tablet, you might not want to dilly dally just in case Apple sells out of the new slates.
