Acer this week announced the Iconia Talk S, a brand new tablet that can make voice calls (as its name suggests). The slate has LTE connectivity, and dual SIM support, so you’ll be able to use both a personal, and a business phone number with it.
Running Android 4.4 KitKat, the Acer Iconia Talk S sports a 7-inch IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixels, further featuring: a 2 MP front-facing camera, 5 MP rear camera (without flash), 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory, microSD card support (up to 128 GB), and a 3780 mAh battery. The tablet is powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor - thus, in the eventuality of an update to Android 5.0 Lollipop, it will be able to take full advantage of Google’s new OS.
The Acer Iconia Talk S will be on sale soon in Taiwan for about $250. Acer didn’t say if it’s planning to release the new slate in other markets - but it usually launches its tablets in various regions anyway. Would you buy the Iconia Talk S if you had the chance?
