Huawei Glory 4X images surface ahead of December 16 announcement

mercredi 10 décembre 2014

Four new images of the upcoming Huawei Glory 4X leaked on the web, giving a glimpse at the Chinese vendor's Kirin 620-powered handset. As you can see, it has that uniform Chinese phone look to it, sprinkled with Huawei's design sophistication.

That said, this is a plastic mid-ranger phone with an unusual unusual back cover pattern that, hopefully, looks better in person. The phone will be announced on December 16, together with the Huawei Glory 6 Plus. Huawei must be felling pretty good about finishing 2014 with retail-ready smartphones that run on its own 64-bit processors, just as market leader Qualcomm has begun peddling its 64-bit solutions.

Anyway, the Huawei Honor 4X offers a 5.5-inch 720p display, the aforementioned Kirin 620 octa-core processor paired with 1 or 2 gigs of RAM, a 13MP main camera with LED flash, a 5MP front camera, and a 3000mAh battery. The phone runs Android 4.4 KitKat topped off with Huawei's Emotion UI.

Reportedly, the Honor 4X will be priced at $130 for the 1GB RAM version and $162 for the $2GB, as Huawei is looking to compete with Xiaomi's RedMi Note phablet, whose features and pricing are similar. We'll have the final word on it on December 16.
