Next-gen Motorola Moto E expected to have a larger display, Android Lollipop, and the same great price

Released by Motorola back in May, the Moto E - pictured above - represents outstanding value for money, being sold for just $129 off contract. Although it’s only been half a year since the handset was introduced, Motorola is reportedly already getting ready to launch a successor to it.

According to Greek website Techmaniacs, the second-generation Moto E should be announced “very soon” - though it’s not clear if this means that we’ll see it before the end of the year (we guess not).

Reportedly, the new Moto E will be slightly larger than the current model, offering a 4.5-inch display (with the same 540 x 960 pixel resolution). The handset’s internals may be similar to those of the Moto G from last year, thus possibly including a Snapdragon 400 processor, and 1 GB of RAM. LTE, a 5 MP rear camera without flash, and Android 5.0 Lollipop should also be on the features list. As for the price, it’s said that Motorola will keep it low - but that’s to be expected anyway.

All in all, we are certainly looking forward to seeing what Motorola can do with the next-generation Moto E. What about you?
