The 2015 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is a melting pot of new technology that is eager to burst open with a lave-like influx of new gadgets right from the first day. In fact, the first day of CES 2015 is usually the busiest one, jam-packed with new announcements, with devices battling for attention.
The main battle this year, however, seems to have transitioned to smartphones and other electronics, as tablets in particular seem to have lost just a little bit of their initial steam. Nonetheless, we have some fairly interesting new announcements: Asus in particular is not holding back anything and it unveiled a trio of new 'Chi' series of tablets: the Asus Transformer Book T90, T100, and T300. With a keyboard, Windows 8.1 on board for maximum productivity, and a Surface-like keyboard-equipped package, those will certainly appeal to heavy typers.
The new Chi line of Asus Transformer Book tablets comes as an alternative to iPads and Android tablets of the market. All three new Chi models come with Windows 8.1, and adopt the bound-with-keyboard idea of the Surface tablet. We’ve gotten to see most about two of the three: the $400 10.1-inch T100 with 1920 x 1200-pixel display, a device with an impressive 7.2mm of thinness, and the $399 T90 with an 8.9-inch 1280 x 800-pixel display and also keyboard.
There is a little something from other companies, and we'll be updating this as soon as more new tablets get announced at CES 2015. Take a look at all the new tablets at CES 2015, and stay tuned for more!
