iOS 8.2 Beta 4 Adds Apple Watch Pairing, Dedicated Watch App Confirmed
Apple released it\'s fourth beta for iOS 8.2 this morning to developers. Discovered by Mark Gurman from 9to5Mac, the latest iOS 8.2 beta includes the ability to pair your watch via Bluetooth. In addition, iOS 8.2 Beta 4 (build 12D5461b) makes it clear that the Cupertino firm is working on a dedicated app for setting up the Apple Watch and controlling it. If you head into the Settings app, followed by Bluetooth, you will find a new panel specifically for Apple Watch. As seen by the screenshot below, there is a link for an unreleased "Apple Watch app" for setting up and controlling the watch.
Additionally, Oliver Chavarel discovered the watch will be able to control iPhone settings such as sounds, airplane mode, choosing wallpapers and more. The wearable device will also be able to ping back to the iPhone (similar to the Pebble smart watch), incase your device is lost. It\'s been discovered that the Apple Watch will require an iPhone to download and install apps and manage the wearables settings.
