While Samsung might be bringing its unannounced Galaxy S6 to CES 2015, it’s said that it won’t showcase it to the public, but only to “select partners” behind closed doors. Thus, we’ll probably have to wait until February or March to see the new handset. However, if you’re interested in seeing only a part of the new Galaxy, it looks like we can do that right now.
Nowhereelse (a French website that’s been a reliable source in the past) today revealed some images that reportedly show the metal chassis of the Galaxy S6. We can spot what appears to be a cut for the rear camera, and another cut for the (hopefully removable) battery. Assuming that these images indeed show the chassis of the S6, the handset could end up looking a lot like the Galaxy Alpha, or the Galaxy A series. Back in December, we saw a similar alleged Galaxy S6 chassis - although, of course, this doesn’t confirm anything yet.
Besides a unibody metal design, the Galaxy S6 is supposed to offer a 5.2-inch (or 5.5-inch) display with 1440 x 2560 pixels, a 16 MP or 20 MP rear camera, and a Snapdragon 810 or Exynos 7420 processor (depending on market).
As previously reported, Samsung is expected to introduce several version of the Galaxy S6. We’ll likely see soon if what’s pictured below is related to any of them.
