New HTC Desire 210 announced in India, One M8 and Desire 816 will be released there, too

HTC revealed a brand new low-end smartphone in India, calling it the Desire 210. Like the Desire 310 that was announced last month, the 210 is powered by a MediaTek processor (a dual-core 1.0GHz MT6572M unit, to be exact).

The Desire 210 has dual SIM support, and doesn’t run Android KitKat, instead coming with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. The rest of its features include HTC BlinkFeed, a 4-inch WVGA display, 5MP rear camera, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of expandable internal memory, and a 1,300 mAh battery.

HTC will start selling the Desire 210 in the first week of May in India. The handset’s suggested retail price will be around $144 (8,700 INR). For the moment, we don’t know if the new Desire will be available internationally.

In addition to announcing the Desire 210, HTC also said that it would release the One M8 and the Desire 816 in India starting the first week of May. Already launched in lots of countries around the world, the HTC One M8 will be offered for around $823 (49,900 INR) to Indian customers.
