Apple Watch App Store Now Available
If you\'re on iOS 8.2 or iOS 8.3 you\'ll now be able to access the App Store for the Apple Watch. All you have to do is head over to the Apple Watch app on your iPhone and tap the App Store tab. If the App Store doesn\'t load on your iPhone, kill the app and restart the Apple Watch app. The Apple Watch App Store is essentially the iOS App Store with a small spin. Both Apple Watch and iPhone screenshots are available in the App Description.
Since there\'s no native Apple Watch apps available yet, any Apple Watch app you download will download the iPhone version on your home screen. The Apple Watch App Store is for customers to discover apps that are tailored towards the Apple Watch, nothing else. The Apple Watch App Store is available on iPhone 5 or higher running iOS 8.2 or later.

iOS App Store Down
Apple\'s Cloud services aren\'t the best. They have a tendency to go out ever now and then. On Wednesday the iOS App Store has taken a toll as the store has gone down. Without any warning, Apple\'s App Store has become unavailable, giving a "App Store not available" message. On the flip side, the Mac App Store is still running fine and dandy. According to the companies iCloud System Status page, Apple is not aware of the issue.

iOS 8 Now Running on 73% of iOS Devices
According to Apple, iOS 8 is now running on 73% of iOS devices. This is a small 1 percentage point higher than it was two weeks ago. The data also notes 24% of iOS devices are running iOS 7, and 3% running older firmware. Keep in mind, these are devices that are capable of connecting to the App Store. Analytics from MixPanel shows similar data, reporting that 75.74% of compatible devices. To put this into perspective, iOS 7 had an 80% adoption rate around this time last year. This shows that once again, the adoption rate for the new iOS is trailing behind previous versions of the operating system. These numbers are still astounding compared to other mobile operating systems.

Pay Once And Play: Apple Highlights Games with No In-App Purchases

Pay Once And Play: Apple Highlights Games with No In-App Purchases
Apps over the years have changed in terms of pricing. It used to be the case where you had a free "lite" version of a game, and a pro version. In-app purchases were to remove ads and enhance the experience. Now, almost no apps have a lite version, and the majority of in-app purchases are used to actually play the game. Apple has begun highlighting non-freemium games in a new section of the App Store the companies calls, "Pay Once & Play". The company describes the section as "great games with no in-app purchases". First spotted by MacStories, the section is divided into three categories: Recent Releases, Blockbuster Games and App Store Originals. Some of the popular titles include: Minecraft , Thomas Was Alone and Threes! . Here are a few more games listed in Pay Once & Play:
The section was first spotted in the UK, and has since spread all across the world to places like Europe, the United States, and various other countries.

Apple Increases App Size Limit From 2GB to 4GB

Apple Increases App Size Limit From 2GB to 4GB
Apple announced Thursday afternoon that it has increased its app package size limit to 4GB when submitting applications through iTunes connect. That\'s double the previous size limit of 2GB, which has been the same since the App Store was originally introduced in 2008. App developers and game-makers should be happier, as they struggle to make games under 2GB with the multitude of screen sizes and resolutions.
Although Apple may be increasing app size limits, they are still enforcing the 100 megabyte cellular download limit.
The size limit of an app package submitted through iTunes Connect has increased from 2 GB to 4 GB, so you can include more media in your submission and provide a more complete, rich user experience upon installation. Please keep in mind that this change does not affect the cellular network delivery size limit of 100 MB.
Although Apple may be increasing app size limits, they are still enforcing the 100 megabyte cellular download limit.

Protube 2: Fall in Love with YouTube All Over Again [Review]
Protube has a history of being the go-to jailbroken YouTube app, it has been around for long enough to basically become the default YouTube app for jailbreakers. Born out of the need for more options like downloadable videos and selectable playback quality, now it has made it\'s way over to the App Store and competing with other apps like Jasmine by Jason Morrissey the developer of Alien Blue or the official YouTube app from Google. With it\'s power-user feature set along with the elegantly designed user-interface it won\'t have any problems contending, especially once people discover the offline playlists. At $2.99 with no annoying ads or popups ProTube hits the sweet spot in terms of price versus usability. Having the ability to select anywhere from 144p to 1080p and then download it for offline viewing later warrants a higher price tag, tack that onto the fact you can even stream audio in an optimized 256kbps quality which uses low bandwidth and you\'ve got yourself an incredibly powerful YouTube player for less than your cup of joe in the morning., so go show some support for an awesome jailbreak developer and buy his app, you will not be disappointed!

Apple Announces App Store Sales for New Years, Best Yet
Apple on Thursday announced spendings of over half a billion dollars in it\'s App Store. They also mentioned that New Years Day is the single best day ever in App Store sales history, as customers took advantage of gift cards and App Store sales. “This year is off to a tremendous start after a record-breaking year for the App Store and our developer community,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services. “We’re so proud of the creativity and innovation developers bring to the apps they create for iOS users and that the developer community has now earned over $25 billion.” The company also announced a record-breaking 2014. Apple says billings rose 50 percent and has generated over 10 billion dollars in revenue for developers. Developers have earned a cumulative 25 billion dollars from sales of games and apps. Apple also bragged about its help in Global Fund to fight AIDS, saying it donated a $20 million this quarter, and since partnering with (RED) has donated over $100 million. Apple Pay was not mentioned, but the company notes that they will continue to add more banks and credit unions for Apple Pay and it now represents about 90 percent of credit card purchase volume in the US.

Indie Studio In Denmark Revives A Project and Scores A Hit Game [New Game]
How many games do you have on your iPhone or iPad? Do any of them allow you to do any time traveling? Probably not. There’s a new game available in the App Store that allows you to do a bit of time traveling as you attempt to help two characters rebuild their society one step at a time. This visually stunning puzzle solving platform game is called Chronology: Time Changes Everything and it\'s currently featured in the App Store as a "Best New Game". The storyline is captivating and the game is very entertaining, but we almost never got a chance to experience Chronology. In January of 2015, the original developers closed shop and thankfully Osao Games , an indie development studio from Denmark, saw potential in Chronology and continued development on this project. Fast forward to now, you get to enjoy an indie project that just wouldn’t die. After you complete the first level of Chronology, you’ll be glad Osao Games grabbed the torch and kept running with this project.
Does Chronology sound like a game you can’t live without or do you need more supporting evidence before you\'re willing to give up precious storage space on your iOS device? I can respect that, so I did a complete app review on Chronology and you can read it here. So before you head over to the App Store and download this gem, take a look and see how “the Critic” rates this indie studio app from our friends over in Denmark.

‘Keeper Security’ is Saving You Time and Now Securing Your Important Files
If you haven’t noticed already, smartphone users are interacting with numerous mobile applications continuously on a daily basis. Currently app usage accounts for nearly 86 percent of the average U.S. mobile consumers time. With that in mind, more and more applications are requiring passwords to protect your personal information. Entering usernames and passwords is time consuming, which results in some smartphone users repeating the same passwords across numerous accounts. In today\'s age, this is an unsafe practice in protecting the security of your accounts, personal information, and identity. Keeper Security wants you to continue to enjoy your favorite applications, except now with the safety, security, and convenience of a brand new feature called FastFill. Craig Lurey, CTO & Co-Founder of Keeper, states, “Logging in and out of apps was a major pain point for consumers and professionals until now. So how does fast fill work? To find out, be sure to continue reading...
