The iPhone 5c wasn\'t really all that popular, and you have to admit, it was essentially an iPhone 5 with a plastic, color back. That said, it looks like that still may continue thanks to a series of photos leaked by Future Supplier shows the possibility of the alleged next-generation iPhone 6c. The images resembles the current-generation iPhone 5c which includes a single unibody piece of plastic with cutouts for the iSight camera, flash, headphone jacks, speakers and lighting cable. The biggest difference is the leaked iPhone 6c images have a more oval-like shape, similar to the iPhone 5s with dual-tone flash. The design also takes cues from the current generation iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. With a single row speaker grill and a single microphone cut out at the bottom. The images also detail the possibility of a revamped 4-inch iPhone. With the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Apple got rid of it\'s \'legacy\' 4-inch devices in favor of 4.7 and 5.5-inch devices. Though, I\'d take the report with a grain of salt. The Chinese market is known for making knock-off devices. This leak may possibly be a knockoff device that may never come to market. The iPhone 6c -- just like the iPhone 5c -- will use last generation technology. As the next-generation iPhones come out, the iPhone 6c will contain an A8 processor, NFC technology, and a touch ID sensor. The device will cost between $400 and $500. Taking place of the iPhone 4s, iPhone 5c, and iPhone 5s this upcoming fall, the device will become Apple\'s new entry-level iPhone.

Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst with KGI Securities told AppleInsider the next generation -- dubbed \'iPhone 6s\' -- will feature an improved and more reliable Touch ID sensor that will “offer a better and safer Apple Pay user experience by reducing reading errors.” “We think the new iPhone, expected to launch in the third quarter of 2015, will be equipped with an upgraded Touch ID module, with which Apple intends to offer a better and safer Apple Pay user experience with reduced reading errors,” reads the analyst note. “We therefore raise our fiscal 2015 shipments of Touch ID module by 12.4 percent to 262 million sets, boosted by Apple Pay and new iPhone models.” Asymco predicted earlier this morning that Apple will ship as many as 320 million iOS devices throughout 2015, with or without Touch ID. The Touch ID sensor will remain in the home button. Regardless of prior patent filings of an on-screen software Touch ID sensor filed by Apple. “Though Apple has filed patents for the integration of Touch ID and touch panel, this isn’t likely to bear fruit near term as complex algorithms and sapphire cover lens are also required,” he said. “We therefore don’t see any impact on supply chain momentum.”

Let\'s be honest here, iOS 7 was a huge design overhaul and iOS 8 contained tons of new features. That\'s great, but the quality of iOS has been on a decline over the last several years. Does Apple need to take a breath, and bring a Snow Leopard like release to iOS? Apple thinks so. Since 2007, the company has pushed yearly iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch releases bringing a handful of new features every year. In 2013, Apple redefined the iOS design, adding Touch ID, Control Center and more. In 2014, the company added Health, Apple Pay, and soon, the Apple Watch. Now, in 2015, with iOS 9 Tim Cook and co. may simply be focusing on fixing bugs, maintaining stability, and boosting performance, according to 9to5Mac. Rather than focusing on shiny new features. Apple will be focusing on reducing the software size, especially with the millions of 16GB iOS devices in the world. It\'s unclear what devices will be supported in this new update. The company may be dropping A5 devices (the iPhone 5 and 5c, the original iPad mini, and the fifth-generation iPod touch). This would mean all of Apple\'s devices will be 64-bit devices. All being A7, A8, and A9 devices. Which would mean easier software development for Apple and third-party developers.

iPhone 6s Rumors Emerge: Force Touch, Optical Zoom

According to a report on Tuesday, by UDN, the next iPhone will include dual lens coming out of the back that will have optical zoom rather than digital zoom which has been in all previous iPhones. The report also states Apple may use a 3D pressure sensor to simulate force touch on the Apple Watch, to sense the difference between tap and press. Moreover, the new camera may be able to capture more light to enhance image quality. The current iPhone 6 have a f/2.2 aperture. A few other things to note from the report: the next generation iPhone will retain the current iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus design, and the smallest storage option will be bumped from 16 gigabytes to 32 gigabytes (which was missing from the current lineup). If force touch is implemented in the next generation iPhone, this will create a new layer of interactivity on iOS. In a somewhat odd turn of events, images of various Apple wearables have just been leaked onto the internet just hours before the iPhone 6 event which is set to begin at 1PM EDT (10AM PDT) today. Well known for their secrecy, Apple typically has very tight security guidelines and rules during production as well as in the days leading up to a big announcement. This isn\'t the first time either a big leak as happened, back in April of 2010 Gizmodo was able to get their hands on a development version of the highly anticipated iPhone 4. Well, fast forward four years later and now images have been leaked of some very interesting wearables from Apple.
