Apptly Announces ‘Dino Skater’ for iOS!

dino_skater_iosApptly, the makers of Fatify , have recently announced that their new game Dino Skater , which is part of their retro-inspired mobile gaming series, is available now to download for free on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. Also known for entertainment apps like Oldify 2 and Sketchify, they have brought their aptitude for fun to gaming as Dino Skater is the second installment in a series of mobile games they are launching this summer. Similar to its successor Pogo Plumber , Dino Skater is an old school side-scroller that uses simple tap controls and a retro art style to create fun bite-sized pieces of gameplay. In Dino Skater you take on the role of Dino, a skating dinosaur that must skate his way through a prehistoric world in order to save himself and humanity. Players must use Dino’s sateboard skills by tapping for speed, releasing to jump and holding again to slide along any surfaces to collect fire eggs that help stop the flow of lava. Along the way, players can pick up coins that can be used to buy various props including beanies, different colored decks and powered up items that give you abilities to jump higher, grind faster and live longer. Interested? Dino Skater is available on the App Store for free by clicking here, however, there are in-app purchases.

‘Pogo Plumber’ Now Available for iOS!

PogoPlumberApptly, developers of many popular entertainment apps, have announced that their first full iOS game Pogo Plumber is now available for download on the App Store. Best known for their entertainment apps like Wolfify and Oldify, Apptly has created a retro-inspired platformer starring a plumber named Pogo and his trusty plunger. Pogo Plumber’s nostalgia-inspired graphics will be a trip down memory game for many players while its novel gameplay keeps it fresh. Featuring dangerous man holes, skid marked streets and a sewer underworld, the game’s landscapes were inspired by Apptly’s home town in Brooklyn, New York. Pogo Plumber uses simple game controls to navigate the city-inspired obstacles and tall buildings by using tap functionality to easily jump and then again to pogo plunge down on a variety of enemies. In addition, players can chain enemy pogos to jump super high, collect coins, get power-ups and even earn special accessories. Also just like any other good platforming game, players can compete against friends on shared online leaderboards.

“We are thrilled to have our first mobile game now out in the App Store,” said Geoff Warren-Boulton, Apptly CEO and founder. “Like everything we create at Apptly, Pogo Plumber is focused on creating experiences that are both approachable and a lot of fun. While it’s an homage to a simpler era of gaming, its single tap control mechanic, randomized terrain, dynamic camera and discoverable content give it depth that is truly modern.”

Interested? Pogo Plumber is available on the App Store for free to download by clicking here, however, there are in-app purchases to obtain extra coins (in-game currency).
