‘Vainglory’ Introduces “Vox” and Spectator Mode in Latest Update

Vainglory , an ultra popular MOBA for touchscreen devices, has gotten an all-new update that introduces the most recently announced hero, Vox, as well as spectator mode for private matches. Vox is the third member of the family entering the Halcyon Fold. The previous updates introduced father Ardan and daughter Celeste to the game which we previously reported on. Unlike other characters, Vox uses sound to destroy his opponents and assist his team.While moving through dangerous territory, this new character can emit a sonic pulse that echoes off enemies, revealing them and providing a critical tactical advantage. From there, Vox can attack and cause damage to bounce between nearby enemies. The recent version 1.3 update also includes Spectator Mode in private matches -- a highly requested feature based on player\'s feedback. When creating a private party, the captain can now invite two additional members to join the match as spectators, giving them access to all the bells and whistles revealed at PAX East 2015. Lastly, this update also features other changes like new art for skill tiers, changes to gameplay, and rebalancing of some items and heroes. At the time of this writing, the iPhone and iPad versions are available to download for free, but do include in-app purchases.

‘Vainglory’ Receives New Hero “Celeste” in Newest Update

Vainglory , the hit MOBA for iOS devices, has gotten an all new hero, Celeste, in the game\'s most recent update which is available now to download. Celeste is the son of Ardan and has the power to command the stars to defeat opponents. The star formations Celeste can create keeps enemies at a distance and finishes them off as they run away. Celeste can also release a storm of stars, dubbed a Solar Storm, that travels across the world. The lead star passes through all enemies it hits, dealing crystal damage. On the other hand, trailing stars that collide with the first enemy they hit deal crystal damage in an area. Other features in this update include:

• There are now 5 tactical pings above the mini-map, including new pings for "group up," "caution" and "enemy hero missing."


• Tap and hold the new social pings button in the upper-left corner of the screen to reveal new ways to communicate with teammates.


• Notify your followers that you\'re looking for a Party Queue match.


• Multiple Matchmaker and Karma system updates to improve your play experience. Read the detailed Update Notes in the News section for more.


• Multiple heroes and items received balance changes. Check the in-game News section for a detailed breakdown.

For those that may not know, Vainglory is a MOBA built from the ground just for touch screen devices. In Vainglory, two teams of three players each go head-to-head in real-time battles. Each player controls a single hero and must formulate a strategy with their team members to shatter a giant crystal, known as the Vain, located in the center of the enemy team\'s base. Vainglory , Super Evil Megacorp\'s hit MOBA for iOS, is releasing an all-new hero through an update for the game that\'s now available to downlaod. The game\'s newest hero, Ardan, is designed to be played as a Protector Tank as well as a Warrior Bruiser. Ardan also controls team fights differently than other heroes -- he has a special energy mechanism called "Vengeance". By completely filling Ardan\'s Vengeance meter during battles using basic attacks and by protecting teammates, players can unleash powerful attacks that deal serious damage to the opposing team.
