Macphun Software’s ‘Intensify’ Photo Editor for Mac Gets a Huge Update

intensifyContinuing on with our coverage of Macphun Software, they have announced a free update to Intensify, their award-winning photo editing software which is available as a standalone app or as a plugin for other programs. With this new update, Intensify adds additional RAW file support for more cameras, more fully integrated features from Mac OS X Mavericks, a brand new Macphun Print Lab, and lastly the ability to export images to SmugMug. Apart from this new update, Intensify has came a long way since we\'ve first started covering it which goes to show the level of commitment and dedication from Macphun. Right now we\'re not sure what else is in store for the program, however, Intensify should easily be any photographer\'s go-to app for when it comes to powerful but simple editing. Bets of all, this update is free to those that have already purchased Intensify. For the full list of changes and new features, check out the list below.

  • Macphun Print Lab -- Intensify photos can now with a few clicks be turned into personalized products like postcards and notecards, delivered direct to recipients. Affordable, high quality gallery frames and canvas prints can also be ordered, perfect for gifts to friends and family. The Macphun Print Lab is powered by MILK Books.

  • Integration with SmugMug -- SmugMug is one of the world\'s leading photography communities with millions of users worldwide. Images can be exported directly from Intensify to SmugMug portfolios for viewing, sharing and printing.

  • RAW Updates -- Intensify now supports RAW formats from all the most popular cameras. The native RAW processor supports 16-bit images and opens files faster than in any other app.

  • Mavericks Support -- Intensify is now taking advantage of all the powerful features of Apple\'s latest OS, Mavericks. Support for the new Notifications feature will enable more timely communications with customers about updates, new features, free presets and more.

  • UI improvements -- Additional shortcuts to the user interface provide quick access to the most important tools and features.

As of now, Intensify is available as an electronic download from the Macphun Web Store and the Mac App Store. You\'ll need to take note though as there are two versions available -- one as a standalone app (Intensify) priced at $17.99 and one as a standalone app plus a plugin (Intensify Pro) for $59.99. So depending upon your needs and work flow, being able to have Intensify as a plugin would be more beneficial.
