Poll: Apple buys Beats for $3 Billion, What Would You Do with that Money?
Rather than covering the massive Beats by Dr. Dre acquisition news like every other website did yesterday, we are taking a slightly different approach to this news. Before we continue on, if you haven\'t heard Apple just yesterday purchased Beats for a staggering $3b -- yes b as in billion -- most likely for their upcoming music subscription service that will be incorporated into iTunes. To most of us, $3 billion is a huge number to wrap our heads around given almost the infinite possibilities of what can be done with that kind of money. That being said, let\'s say if you took the average cost of a two year contract with data of an iPhone 5S which would be somewhere around $2000, that $3 billion is enough to pay for 1.5 million iPhone\'s with two year contracts. Taking it a step further, you could purchase 200,000 top of the line Mac Pros with every single possible upgrade as well as a 4K and Thunderbolt Display (rounded up to a total of $15k). Small purchases aside, The Richest have compiled a list of 10 things that you can buy for under a billion dollars. Want a Airbus A380? That\'ll set you back roughly $800 million and change. How about a round trip to the moon? Just $750 million and you\'re good to go. All that aside, if you can figure out what you\'d spend $3 billion on, we want to hear what it would be! So be sure to vote on our poll or comment to let us hear your thoughts.
