Having a smartphone in your pocket is empowering. But with a capable camera, it is inspiring - you can take really great shots in most conditions. However, even with the option-rich Android, every smartphone comes with a different stock camera app and while some are extremely capable and easy to use, others are the opposite - a maze of menus that often don’t provide the manual controls you might be looking for. And the problem with that is that the more you get into photography, the more you want - more settings, more effects, more tweaks.
Luckily, there is a bunch of application on the Google Play store to help you take your photos to the next level. Even if your phone has a great camera app (we’re particularly fond of the HTC One M8’s rich and intuitive camera interface), we encourage you to try some of these apps below that will still offer new settings and options.
