Earlier this year, when HTC announced its One M8 flagship smartphone, it also unveiled a brand new and interesting case called Dot View (pictured on the left). At the moment, Dot View is compatible only with the One M8, but it looks like it’s coming to more HTC devices. And while that may not be too interesting, the handsets that are reportedly compatible with the Dot View case are certainly newsworthy.
According to an image posted by @evleaks, the “Dot View Premium” case is compatible with the following devices: M8, M8 Ace (which is, in fact, the already-announced One E8), B2, W8, and Eye. The existence of the last three handsets hasn’t been confirmed by HTC, but we heard that the W8 could be the company’s first Windows Phone 8.1 product, while the HTC Eye is supposed to be an Android-based “selfie phone.” As for the B2, this could be a new HTC Butterfly.
Also
mentioned are a “Dot View Standard” that’s compatible with an unknown A51, and a “Dot View Lite” that should work with HTC A21 and HTC A11 (both of which are unknown devices as well).
Assuming that this Dot View compatibility list is legit, we’re expecting HTC to announce the W8, the B2 and the Eye in the near future. Plus, of course, those mysterious A51, A21 and A11 may also make an official appearance.
So, are you looking forward to seeing HTC's first WP 8.1 handset? What about the Eye "selfie phone", or the next-generation Butterfly? Let us know in the comments below.
