Oppo has tipped the Oppo N1 mini on its Indian Facebook page. Showing a picture of the device with the words "Mini in size, Max on fun," the manufacturer's caption on top of the image reads, "Revolutionary 24 Mega Pixels Ultra HD Camera, Coming Soon!" The phone was originally unveiled late in May, but has yet to be released.
The 24MP camera is actually a 13MP camera that swivels front back to front, allowing you to use the same lens for rear-facing and front-facing pictures. The Sony lens employed by Oppo for the N1 mini has a sensor size of 1/3.2" and uses the Super Zoom mode first found on the Oppo Find 7, to produce 24MP photos. On the Oppo Find 7, ten pictures can be consolidated into one 50MP image.
The Oppo N1 mini offers a 5 inch screen with resolution of 720 x 1280 for a 294ppi pixel density. A MediaTek octa-core chip is under the hood. 1GB of RAM is on board, and a 2140mAh battery keeps the lights on. No word yet on a specific launch date or price.
