Late last week, Motorola emailed a link in reference to its Android Wear powered Motorola Moto 360 smartwatch. Clicking on it led to an picture showing off the timepiece with various watchfaces employed. The Moto 360 is available in silver and black, so it was a big deal to see the watch in gold right in the middle of the photograph.
When Motorola was asked about the unannounced gold version of its smartwatch, the manufacturer played dumb, indicating that there was no gold Moto 360 available. Immediately after Motorola was contacted, the gold Moto 360 was removed from the picture. That move, however, left an odd looking gap between the two watches on the back row. Motorola later decided to change the arrangement of the Moto 360 units in the picture, which makes the image look a little more pleasing to the eyes.
As for the gold Moto 360, the manufacturer says that it is always looking at new materials for the timepiece, although Motorola wouldn't comment on whether a gold Moto 360 was on the way. Would a gold colored Motorola Moto 360 make you reach for your wallet?

"Although we can't comment on gold specifically, we're always exploring new materials and we intend to provide Moto 360 in a selection of styles in the future."-Motorola
