iPhone 6 and the Bendgate

bendgate First there was the infamous antennagate with the iPhone 4 causing users to have poor reception when holding their device a certain way. Well fast forward a few years later, we now have the bendgate with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. What is the bendgate you ask? That\'s an excellent question. Simply put, the bendgate is an incredible phenomena (sarcasm) that happens when people sit down with their phone in their front or back pocket and their iPhone 6 slightly bends due to the pressure and weight. Typically this happens when the iPhone 6 is in the back pocket, however, there are now some uncommon incidents where this happens in the person\'s front pocket. That being said though it\'s not entirely a surprise -- if you sit on a thin piece aluminum and enough pressure is applied, it will slightly bend. With the iPhone 6 being incredibly thin, users should try to use a little more caution than normal. Sure it can withstand both an accidental and purposeful drop test, but there\'s a difference between a drop and having a lot of pressure applied directly to the phone. To demonstrate how bad this bendgate can be, check out the video below. Even though it took a decent amount of force to bend the iPhone 6, it\'s definitely a lot easier to do when compared to an iPhone 5 or iPhone 4. For now all we can recommend is that you use a fairly secure case for your iPhone 6 and use extra caution.
