Pre-paid carrier Boost Mobile will start selling the Apple iPhone 6 and Apple iPhone 6 Plus starting next Friday, October 17th. That will make the Sprint subsidiary the first of the pre-paid carriers to offer the latest handsets from Apple. Just like it did last year when it began to offer the Apple iPhone 5s and Apple iPhone 5c, Boost is taking $100 off the retail price of the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch smartphones.
With the discount, the 16GB iPhone 6 is $549.99 while the 64GB model is $649.99. The 128GB variant is $749.99. The same storage models for the Apple iPhone 6 Plus are priced at $649.99, $749.99 and $849.99, respectively. And if you don't mind slumming with last year's handsets, the 16GB Apple iPhone 5s is $499.99, and the 16GB Apple iPhone 5c is $349.99. For $199.99, you can pick up the 8GB Apple iPhone 4s. The new iPhones will only be available through Boost's website for now. Eventually, you should be able to purchase them from Boost's brick and mortar stores.
Early last month, we told you that Boost had doubled the data on its smartphone plans and had even taken $5 off the price of each tier, all for a limited time. That means that you can get Unlimited talk and text and 1GB of data for $35 a month. For $45 a month, you get unlimited talk, text and 5GB of data. And for $55 a month, you receive unlimited talk, unlimited text and 10GB of data.
For those who don't want to get stuck with a contract, Boost is letting you bake your iPhone 6 cake, and eat it, too.
