Google Nexus X (mock up) compared to other flagships on video: iPhone 6, Nexus 5, BlackBerry Passport, etc

vendredi 3 octobre 2014

Expected to be officially introduced later this month, the Google Nexus X will be a giant smartphone - the largest Nexus handset to date. That’s because it’s going to sport a massive 5.9-inch display with 1440 x 2560 pixels (Quad HD), which is bigger than most displays that current flagship smartphones are offering.

Yesterday, we saw a series of renders that supposedly depict the real Nexus X. Now, someone took the time to make a video based on those renders, and compare the alleged Nexus X to lots of other flagship handsets. As you’ll see in the video (embedded below), the upcoming Nexus is compared to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Samsung Galaxy S5, LG G3, Google Nexus 5, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and even to some BlackBerries - including the brand new Passport. Of course, we can’t be sure that this is exactly what the Nexus X will look like next to all these smartphones. For example, we think it’s going to be slightly larger than the Galaxy Note 3 - although the video suggests the devices are about the same size.

In any case, it’s clear that the Nexus X will be larger that some people want. Manufactured by Motorola (and also know as the Nexus 6), the upcoming handset should be powered by a Snapdragon 805 processor, further featuring a 13 MP rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization, a 3200 mAh battery, and Android L.
