Android's openness is a great thing – it really is – especially when expressed in the Play Store – a place, far less policing than Apple's App Store, where developers are free to upload pretty unorthodox apps and solutions. Unfortunately, there is a down-side to all of this, and it is that developers are also free to upload lots and lots of... well, terrible apps.
The Play Store is currently a home to a lot of fun games and useful apps, however, let's be honest, if one of them doesn't make its way to the Editor's Pick page, or a tech website's article, it will probably not get noticed and will be left to die in obscurity, covered by garbage.
Well, Google appreciates its developer community and does not want this to happen to their apps. This is why it wrote and published an 80-page guide on "The Secrets to App Success on Google Play".
The manual covers lots of essential subjects, such as alpha- and beta-testing one's app, regular updates, monetization, following the Material Design concepts, ensuring quality tablet experience, launching the app globally, etc. Anyone interested can check it out in the source link below.
