Messenger app for Android released by Google

mercredi 12 novembre 2014

Right now, in the Google Play Store, a new app has been released by Google called Messenger. With the app, you can send and receive SMS and MMS messages from any phone. And even though the app is the stock Android SMS/MMS controller for Lollipop, it can be employed by most Android models running on 4.1 or higher.

You can take pictures or videos directly from the app, and share them. Ditto with audio messages that can be sent straight to your contacts. When you need to search for something, you can go through your contacts and conversation threads while you look to match your search terms. And if some one is annoying you, the app allows you to block their SMS messages.

Messenger also includes some subtle little touches such as colored text threads, message archiving and emoji support. Of course, the app includes the new Material Design look. And if you're not a big fan of Hangouts, this is the place to go.

Messenger is a free download from the Google Play Store. You can check out some screenshots from the app, embedded below.
