Apple Building Six Million Apple Watches Ahead of Release
On Tuesday, the Wall Street Journal reports Apple may be building up to six million Apple Watches in Q1 2015, ahead of it\'s expected April release. Taiwan-based Quanta Computer Inc is the main assembler of the wearable device. Half of the Q1 production is aimed towards the entry-level $349 Apple Watch Sport model. Which equates to about 3 million units. The mid-tier Apple Watch is expected to account for one-third of sales. And the high-end Apple Watch Edition in 18-karat gold is expected to produce roughly one million units per month, says sources.
