Apple Facing Issues Manufacturing the Apple Watch Screen
Apple may be having issues manufacturing the 1.5-inch AMOLED display powering the upcoming Apple Watch slated to ship late next month, according to UDN Mobile. According to the source, they say the manufacturing issue has cut the predicted production models in half. The Taiwanese publication says Apple has cut its initial production units from between 2.5 to 3 million units to between 1.25 and 1.5 million units. The Apple Watch will be Apple\'s first device sporting an AMOLED display. The iPhone, in addition to the rest of the companies product sports an LCD display. The biggest difference between AMOLED and LCD displays is that AMOLED displays can create a screen as bright as any other screens with just one third of the amount of sub pixels.
