First Installment of ‘Republique’ is the “Free App of the Week” on the App Store!

­Independent development studio Camouflaj have announced that the first installment in their action adventure game Republique is now available to download for free on the App Store as part of Apple’s "Free App of the Week" promotion from June 5th to June 13th. Created by industry veterans behind such AAA games as F.E.A.R., Halo 4, and Metal Gear Solid 4, and designed specifically for iOS, Republique brings high quality gameplay and graphics to the iPhone and iPad. In Republique, players assist Hope, a young woman struggling to escape from a secret, Orwellian state. Communicating using a stolen phone, Hope contacts the player and asks them to hack into the nation’s surveillance system, assume control, and guide her out of the clutches of the omnipresent Overseer. Republique Episode 2: Metamorphosis was released April 30th, which explores the origins of intellectual fascism through the player’s continued efforts to help Hope escape the Orwellian prison. Citing its exploration ­based stealth action, improved AI, and puzzle focused gameplay, Episode 2: Metamorphosis has been hugely popular. Available in French, German, Spanish, Russian and Brazilian Portuguese, the first episode of Republique is available for free on the App Store for iOS devices as part of Apple’s Free App of the Week promotion until June 13th. For those that want to continue the story, Episode 2: Metamorphosis is available for $4.99 as an in-app purchase. Lastly, Episode 3 is scheduled for a summer 2014 release.

‘Republique Episode 2: Metamorphosis’ Now Available on the App Store, Episode 1 Now on Sale

Independent development studio, Camouflaj, has announced that the second of five installments in the game République is available now on the App Store to download. Envisioned by video game industry veterans behind such AAA titles like Halo 4, Metal Gear Solid 4, and more, République brings console-quality gameplay and graphics to iOS. Republique Episode 2: Metamorphosis explores the origins of intellectual fascism through the player\'s continuing efforts to help a young woman named Hope escape an Orwellian prison. Out of interest, she seeks out the librarian named Señor Luis Octavo, a sympathetic mentor whose concern for Hope makes him a target of The Overseer’s wrath. With player’s help, she gains a better understanding of her captors as well as the necessary measures to successfully escape. In other news, if you\'ve held out on purchasing Republique for whatever reason, you\'re just in luck. Right now the first episode called "Exordium" is available to download for just $2.99. While we aren\'t exactly sure how long this sale will continue on for, we highly recommend you pick it up when you have a moment. Features:

This is a big release.”

Episode 2: Metamorphosis can be unlocked through an in-app purchase for $4.99, while Season Pass owners receive each episode as a bundle pack for a discounted price with exclusive content including an hour-long documentary and one hundred developer commentary videos. As for the future episodes, Camouflaj plans to release them in three to four-month intervals and with that being said, we\'ll let you know when episode 3 becomes available.
