Android L is an update of epic proportions, bringing both major and minor improvements to Google's operating system. The one we have to share with you is of the latter kind, but it is worthy of being highlighted nonetheless.
In the newest Android release, App shortcuts can be removed with a flick up. Hold your finger down on one, as if you were to move it, and just throw it upward. No need to drag it all the way up to the "Delete" label. This trick works for widgets and folders as well.
We have to admit that we discovered this one by accident while tinkering with our Nexus 5. This goes to show that there's more to be discovered about the upcoming update, and surely, even more hidden goodies like this one are going to be thrown in the final release.
Alas, we're still months away from seeing Android L in its final form. The Update is expected to start rolling out in late summer/early fall of this year. In the meantime, you can take a look at the list of new features that Android L is going to introduce.
