At this point, it seems like Samsung's Galaxy Note lineup is basking in better overall reception than its Galaxy series of smartphones - most of the enthusiasts that got disappointed by the Galaxy S5 turned their heads towards September and begun to look forward to the Note phablet. Well, the wait is over, as the Galaxy Note 4 is already here!
Unlike its predecessor, however, the device will be faced against a pretty odd and unusual state of the market. A year ago, there was still a somewhat distinct frontier between flagship smartphones and the so-called phablets in terms of size, the difference between the two segments has been gradually diminishing. The status-quo has been broken and we have witnessed some devices boldly trespass into what was previously regarded as "phablet territory". Take the LG G3, for example - with its 5.5" display, it's just a tad smaller than the Note 4's 5.7-inch one.
Then again, members of the Note family have slowly increased in size with each and every generation, save for the Galaxy Note 4. This means that Samsung has unintentionally given its competition a chance to catch up in the size department. A number of current flagship smartphones can comfortably sit next to the Galaxy Note 4 without being overshadowed by the figure of the behemoth device. Let's see how it fares against the competition.
