A few days ago, we told you that a wireless version of the Beats Solo2 headphones had visited the FCC. Today, Beats has made it official. Later this month, the Beats Solo2 Wireless is expected to be available for $300. The "cans" will be offered in red, blue, black and white with a scarlet version exclusive to Verizon. The unit looks exactly like the wired version of the headphones, but comes with a special "b" button that allows you to skip tracks and handle phone calls.
The battery inside the unit will allow the headphones to give you as long as 12 hours of listening pleasure. A power cord can be used to plug in the headphones when the battery runs dry.
The Beats Solo2 Wireless is the first Beats product to be announced since Apple bought the company. The tech titan purchased Beats earlier this year for $3 billion, making it the largest acquisition ever done by the iPhone and iPad manufacturer. At the time that the deal was announced, it was believed that Apple was trying to focus on Beats Music. The streaming music business is still important to Apple, and the latter is trying to work out new deals with the record labels and artists in an attempt to cut the monthly price of the service in half.
